Shenzhen, China, Oct 28, 2022 – The open optical network device explorer, GIGALIGHT, has just launched the Integrated TOR Solutions for Data Centers.
The data center integrated TOR solution is a new concept, which mainly includes the following components: standard chassis, TOR switches, servers, Fiber optic NIC, DAC/AOC cables and optical modules.
GIGALIGHT's experiment is to interconnect active rack products and Leaf switches to provide a complete solution for small and medium data centers. The integrated TOR solutions currently available are mainly based on 25/100G interconnection. In the next step, GIGALIGHT will build a 100G/400G interconnection solution based on the silicon photonics technology.
Adoption of active rack products is a common solution for large data centers. Meanwhile it also provides certain commercial value for global small and medium data centers.
