1.6T ELS Optical Transceiver

    GIGALIGHT’s 1.6T optical transceiver solution with External Light Source decouples the laser source from the 1.6T OSFP224 transceiver. Light is supplied centrally by rack‑level or card‑level External Light Source (ELS) / Co‑packaged Light Source and fiber‑coupled to each pluggable module. The transceiver itself only retains modulators, photodetectors and essential electrical processing units, which significantly reduces the power dissipation per module.
