GIGALIGHT 3G-SDI video optical extenders are used to extend video transmission distance between SDI sources and receiver equipment over optical fiber. Equipped with 3G-SDI optical modules, the transmission distance can reach up to 60km/80km. The product consists of one transmitter and one receiver: the transmitter receives SDI video signals from the video source; the signal passes through a coaxial cable equalizer and is then converted into an optical signal for transmission over optical fiber. The receiver converts the optical signal back into SDI video signals and amplifies the video signal via a coaxial cable driver.
