    GIGALIGHT Has Taken Another Step Forward with 112G PAM4 DAC
    Shenzhen, China, June 13, 2022 – GIGALIGHT, the open optical network device explorer, recently announced the launch of two heavyweight passive DAC cable assemblies, 800G QSFP-DD PCC and 400G QSFP112 PCC, which is taking another step forward to the 112G PAM4 DAC of data center server interconnects.
    Following the launch of the 400G QSFP-DD PCC based on 8x50G PAM4 technology in August 2021, GIGALIGHT began to lay out the plans of the next-generation data center server electrical interconnection market in advance, and launched the 800G QSFP-DD PCC based on 8x100G PAM4 technology and the 400G QSFP112 PCC based on 4x100G PAM4 technology in June this year. The data rate of the two new products can reach up to 112Gbps per channel.
    The two new 112G PAM4 DAC cable assemblies of GIGALIGHT are compliant with IEEE P802.3ck D3.0 and QSFP-DD800/QSFP112 MSA HW Rev 6.01. They support a maximum transmission distance of 2 meters, with an insertion loss of less than 19.75dB @26.56GHz. The Channel Operating Margin (COM) is surpassed 3dB under the condition of superimposing 8 near-end crosstalk and 7 far-end crosstalk, even in the test environment using a commercial error tester and MCB, Pre-FEC BER can still perform less than 1E-5 (Post-FEC BER less than 1E-15).
