OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) Fiber Auto-Monitoring Board is used for the monitoring system in optical communication network maintenance. It utilizes the backscattered light generated during the propagation of light in the fiber to obtain information about attenuation. It can be used to measure fiber attenuation, connector loss, locate fiber faults, and understand the loss distribution along the length of the fiber.
